Natasha Penitani (born 29 November 1999) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays for the Wests Tigers in the NRL Women's Premiership. She primarily plays as a prop.[1]

Early Life and Career

Natasha Penitani was born in Sydney, New South Wales, and began playing rugby league at a young age. She played junior rugby for Matraville Tigers before moving to the Cronulla Sharks' Harvey Norman Women's Premiership team, where she spent three seasons.[1]

Professional Career

In 2024, Penitani signed a one-year deal with the Wests Tigers, making her NRLW debut in Round 1 against the Canberra Raiders.[1]She played in all nine matches of her rookie season, showcasing her skills as a front-rower. [2]Penitani's performance earned her a nomination for the 2024 NRLW Dally M Rookie of the Year award.[3]

International Career

Penitani has also represented Tonga at the international level. In 2023, she played alongside her older sister, Tiana Penitani, in the Pacific Championships. Penitani will be co-captain for Tonga in the 2024 Pacific Championships alongside Vanessa Foliaki[4]

Natasha Penitani is the younger sister of Tiana Penitani. The sisters have both made significant impacts in their rugby league careers, including international appearances and award nominations.[5]
