Henry Encarnacion, Bulova's head repair person extraordinaire for decades, has seen this repair work and fully approved, and recommended for Accutron repair before he retired. He was at Bulova since the inception of the Accutron. Company fixes all of the Accutrons in the world's largest Accutron collector's collection. He has hundreds. Bulova, too, has recommended this company to many people for their Accutron repair.

There's a reason why some Accutron repairers don't list their prices. And when they do, it's not complete until you receive their estimate, having already paid their diagnosis fee. Once you have their estimate in hand, you'll be shocked when you realize their usual $1000 to $1400 or more quote is far too much to spend on your Accutron's repair since most can be accomplished with a standard $210 service for 214 and $245 for 218 models. Quotes from competitors usually are over $1k. This company not charge a diagnosis fee as a competitor does. It only takes a couple of minutes to determine what is needed. Companies client base currently includes 20 countries and every state in the U.S. When another site gives you a price for service, you will find out when you try them that that service fee is only the tip of the iceberg. They will give you a list of parts needing to be replaced (although they don't) getting you up quite high on repair costs. And when they say they purchased all of Bulova's Accutron parts, it isn't true either. He was known as the Accutron Man, and he went right to Bulova, loading a truck of parts out of their dumpster. Also, when they say they don't charge a fee for restoration of case components like the case back, battery hatch or crown, it isn't true either because they build that into the overall cost of the repair and that's part of the reason why their quotes always end up being in the $1300 plus range. Another company charged $1800 for a repair. And another quote, better yet... $3000...Seriously, $17.50 for a screw (a part worth pennies) and $485 for a coil? You'll know what I'm talking about when you get one of their quotes...and then you'll know what to do with that. Service a movement...they charge $346, this company charges $210. Additional complication...they charge $65, this company charges $0. Coil...they charge $485, this company charges $300 (if it's really needed, only 1 in 20 are, although about 20 out of 20 seem to be needed with them). Sweep pinion...they charge $211.50, this company charges $50 (if it's really needed). Missing pawl safety guard...they charge $211.50, this company charges $0. Safety guard screw. They charge $17.50, this company charges $0. Hands, they charge $115.90, this company charges $50 (if you want them swapped). Cheap genuine lizard strap...they charge $26.95 even if you didn't ask for one.

This company is fine with that, but you can save yourself some time just by shipping it with US Priority. This company picks up packages at their p.o. every Friday, check packages in over the weekend and will report back the following Monday.

If you call, this company will return your call after 4pm Central and possibly a day later as they are constantly glued to their bench...they will respond to emails and voicemails at the end of the day. This company would be happy to help you with your Accutron Repair, Accutron Spaceview Repair or Astronaut Accutron Repair. They are very busy with repairs and try to keep up with phone and email messages constantly. They will always get back to you as quickly as possible. They receive a lot of voicemails and emails, so getting back immediately can be difficult, but they will get back if you can be patient. If you leave a message over the weekend, they'll get back to you the following Monday.
