Mr. Cupper's Adventure in Enlightenment is an indie adventure video game developed by Nason and published through Itch.io for Microsoft Windows and macOS on November 2024. Players control Mr. Cuppers, a sentient bottle of water who attempts to escape a supermarket and avoid the same fate as his friend, Bottle D. Water. The game's core combines puzzle-solving, exploration, and combat mechanics to challenge players in their efforts to overcome various obstacles and defeat adversaries along the way to freedom.
Plot
[edit]The game opens by showing Mr. Cuppers as he witnesses the death of his best friend, Bottle D. Water, being drained by one of the game's antagonists, Jonathan. Determined not to end up like his friend, Mr. Cuppers embarks on a path toward enlightenment.
Outside the supermarket, Mr. Cuppers is met with Mr. Enlighten, a rather wise mentor figure, who bestows upon him the Staff of Enlightenment. This magical tool gives Mr. Cuppers the potential to go up against powerful foes in the game, like the primary antagonist, Plastic I. Want. In the heat of the final encounter, Mr. Cuppers emerges victorious over Plastic I. Want and wins his freedom.
Gameplay
[edit]Players control the character Mr. Cuppers through the environment, solving puzzles, and fighting against enemies. The Staff of Enlightenment is a critical item in combat that helps the players defeat their opponent and continue forward in the game.
