Montana Highway 43 (MT 43) is a roughly 77.3-mile-long (124.4 km) state highway in the west-central part of the US state of Montana, and runs for approximately a mile (1.6 km) in Lemhi County, Idaho.

Route description

MT 43 begins at U.S. Highway 93 (US 93) at the Lost Trail Pass right along the Idaho–Montana state line. Almost immediately after beginning, it runs for a short mile without any junction in Lemhi County, Idaho, and it then crosses into Beaverhead County, Montana. It enters Wisdom 24.8 miles (39.9 km) east of Chief Joseph Pass, and it intersects Secondary Highway 278 (S-278) before heading 38.1 miles (61.3 km) to the northeast into Wise River. The last major destination is 10.9 miles (17.5 km) to the east in Divide before the state highway ends at Interstate 15 (I-15) southwest of Butte.
