Mohamed Qasem Khudair (born on June 9, 1966) is a Kuwaiti electronics engineer, former assistant professor, with a doctorate in the Department of Electronic Engineering Technology previously at the College of Technological Studies.[1], and a consultant at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, publisher and scientific communicator at the level of the Arab world, working on Spreading knowledge through the Sciware Podcast, television programs, public lectures, YouTube program, books and social networks. His father, Qasem Khudair Qasem, was the first person to teach the subject of Chemistry in Kuwaiti high schools, and the first Kuwaiti and Gulf writer to write horror literature.
One of Dr. Mohamed Qasem’s main interests is to spread science in the Arab world. He was featured on the Nature magazine of the Middle East, as one of the six best science communicators in the Arab world[2], as he gives many lectures in the Gulf countries and is a very prolific scientific communicator. Dr. Mohamed Qasem has appeared in several television programs, including appearances in interviews from channels as Al-Arabiya Channel, France 24 , Abu Dhabi TV, Marina FM, Al-Majd TV, and an interview at the World Summit of Governments, in which he wrote many articles in newspapers about his publication of knowledge. In addition, Dr. Mohamed Qasem has given many lectures and seminars on science in the Arab world, and he has previously written many scientific articles on Al-Jazeera Net. He wrote two scientific books, one of which was chosen to be part of the twelfth grade curriculum in the United Arab Emirates .
He has judged many scientific competitions for inventions, and innovations in the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates .
Education
[edit]Dr. Mohamed Qasem obtained a Bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, USA, in 1996. His project was about balancing an inverted pendulum using genetically modified artificial neurons, using artificial intelligence that is modified by a gene algorithm. Then he completed his master's degree in Columbus, Ohio , Ohio State University in the United States of America in 1999 , and that was in the field of information compression and digital signal processing, and then completed his studies for a doctorate at the University of Southampton in Britain on 2010 , where he worked on improving and developing solutions to the problem of “ a complete non-deterministic polynomial problem ” and his research was entitled: “Clustering Solutions: A Novel Approach to Solving NP-Complete Problems » He also worked on artificial intelligence using deep learning algorithms during his sabbatical period as a visitor at the University of Southampton in 2019.
Work
[edit]Dr. Mohamed Qasem worked as a teacher in the Department of Electronics at the College of Technological Studies at the Public Authority for Applied Education in the State of Kuwait between 1996-2007, From 2010-2019, he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics - College of Technological Studies - Public Authority for Applied Education - Kuwait. He also worked with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences as a consultant in developing the dissemination of culture and science in the Arab world.
Projects and Experiences
[edit]He is currently working as a consultant for the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) to develop and improve the paper and electronic scientific content for the general public, and he worked in the latest field of machine learning, especially artificial neurons in the subspecialty of deep learning, and he worked in consulting and developing the ticketing system in Makasib Company: he developed a vision for the company in the field of marketing ticketing system Hala February at the level of the State of Kuwait , he worked with investors to link between shops, sponsors and consumers, he participated in the evaluation committee in the e-government , where he was among a team of consultants to evaluate tenders for the establishment of the e-government portal for the State of Kuwait. He judged in the International Exhibition of Inventors for inventions presented at the International Exhibition of Inventors, and he worked as a consultant for the Gulf Clearing Company. He provided consultancy for the development of Internet pages with databases, and the consultations included the development of security. He worked with several teams to develop a comprehensive vision for electronic services in Kuwait, and he consulted for the development of the resource system Humanities in the College of Technology Studies.
He judged in Ithra, organized by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , in 2014 in the new media competitions “Arwa”, as well as a judge in the “Innovators Under 35” competition in 2019.
Involvement with the Dubai Future Foundation

Al Alemoon

Season 1: The Cosmos
[edit]This season is dedicated to the history of astronomy and the scientists which helped revolutionize cosmological science, it shows the evolution of our understanding of the night sky, starting from Galileo Galilei with his simple telescope, to modern scientists detecting black holes in the LIGO observatory.
Season 2: Quantum Mechanics
[edit]This season is dedicated to the intrigue of the quantum world. The journey of quantum science begins at the medieval times with Ibn al-Haytham, who discovered the properties of light, to modern scientists who established the multiverse theory and the principles of quantum mechanics.
Sciware Podcast
[edit]The Sciware Podcast is an Arabic science podcast founded by Dr. Mohamed Qasem, and it is widely popular in the East and West. The Sciware Podcast is a scientific, cultural and technological audio program that provides listeners with scientific information such as Biology, Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics, as well as interviews with eminent scientific figures such as Nobel Prize-winning physicists Kip Thorne[4]and Sean M. Carroll[5]
