Miriam Bavly is an American director, screenwriter, and producer, serving as the Co-CEO and founding partner of BreakOut Music, a record label and film production company headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. [1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Miriam Bavly is a graduate of Harvard University, where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Science (MS). She worked and studied in Eastern Europe during the Cold War. [2]
She also played competitive tennis in her youth, competing in both the US and Europe.
Career
[edit]In 2019, Bavly co-founded BreakOut Music, an independent record label and film production company. The company launched its global streaming platform, BOM PIC, in 2023 in Sub-Saharan Africa and hosted its inaugural Beverly Hills Spirit of Independence Awards in 2024 to highlight the works of independent artists worldwide. She made her debut as a screenwriter and producer with the feature film The App That Stole Christmas (2020), which spent three seasons on Netflix and is currently available on Amazon, Tubi, and BOM PIC.
