Mercy Hands Europe (MHEU) is a Swiss non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Geneva. Established in 2019, it operates in disaster and conflict-affected regions in collaboration with local partners. The organization is the sister entity of Mercy Hands for Humanitarian Aid (MH), an NGO in Iraq, which was founded in 2004.

MHEU collaborates with local organizations to implement projects in: Iraq, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Georgia, Syria, Palestine.

Sectors of Activity

The organization works across multiple sectors to address complex challenges:

- Education

- Livelihoods (including agriculture and beekeeping)

- Protection and justice

- Health

- Emergency response

- Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH)

Experience and Impact

Since its inception, MHEU has implemented:

- 22 development projects across Iraq, Syria, Ethiopia, and Georgia.

- 3 emergency responses in northwest Syria, Ukraine, and Gaza.

- A total of 25 projects, funded by over 30 donors, including Swiss-based and international organizations.
