Comment: The subject's death needs to be cited. Also, how is this man notable? The article doesn't really convince me, neither does the citations. Mehmet Ali Sengul(10 March 1945-11 July 2021) nickname Samsunlu Hoca(tr) was a Turkish administrator, preacher, and counselor[1]
Mehmet Ali Şengül, born in 1945 in Elden village, Yeşilova district of Burdur, completed his hafiz education in Denizli. He was educated at the Kestane Pazarı Quran Course.He met Fethullah Gülen in Kestane Pazari. He was among the first to join the Hizmet Movement volunteers in 1968. ,He started working as the imam of Bozyaka Kilimci Tepe Mosque.Since Şengül was on the wanted list for the 1980 Military coup, he was forced to move and continue his education and guidance activities in Samsun.Mehmet Ali Şengül later went to the Caucasus, Europe, and the Australian Continent as the manager of the Hizmet Movement local activities.He served as an administrator, preacher and counselor throughout his life. A lawsuit was filed against 'Samsunlu Hodja' after the coup attempt in Turkey on July 15, 2016, on allegations of "leading an armed terrorist organization" and "attempting to violate the constitutional order.The funeral of Mehmet Ali Sengül, known as the 'Hodja from Samsun' in the Hizmet Movement, was held in Germany, where he lived for many years.[2]
In Germany, where he last lived, he was hospitalized for coronavirus treatment and died there.
