Meenakshi Raveendran (born 12 July 1996) is an Indian actress and television presenter. She took part in the Malayalam talent hunt reality show Nayika Nayakan on Mazhavil Manorama. She hosted Udan Panam 3.0, a television game show on Mazhavil Manorama along with Dain Davis.[1]

Early life

Meenakshi was born on 12 July 1996[2] in Mararikulam in Alappuzha district of Kerala.[3] Her father, Raveendran was a bank employee while her mother, Jayasree is a beautician. She has an elder brother, Balu.[4] She started her training in classical dance from the age of 3.[5]

She completed her primary education from VNSN Central School, Cherthala. After completing her diploma course in aviation she got a job as a cabin crew member at SpiceJet at the age of 19. She won second prize in classical dance in a National Cooperate Talent Hunt Program.[5] She later resigned from the job to concentrate on acting.[4]

Career

In 2017, she participated in Miss Millennial, a beauty pageant organised by Manorama Online and Joyalukkas. She was in the top 10 finalists.[6][7] In 2018, she participated in a talent hunt reality show Nayika Nayakan which aired on Mazhavil Manorama. She was eliminated in the third round.[8] She made her movie debut through Lal Jose's Thattumpurath Achuthan in 2018.[9] In 2020, she was then seen in the sitcoms Marimayam and Thatteem Mutteem.[10][11] She then hosted Udan Panam 3.0, a television game show along with Dain Davis from 2020 to 2021.[12] In 2021, her second movie Malik was released in which she played the role of Ramlath, Sulaiman Malik's daughter.[13] Her third release was 2022 film Hridayam.[4] From 2022 to 2023, she co-anchored Udan Panam: Chapter 4 along with Dain Davis.[14] She played one of the female leads in 2023 film Tholvi F.C.[15]

She was ranked 5th among the Kochi Times 15 Most Desirable Women on Television 2020 by The Times of India.[16]
