Matthew McKenna (born 16 June 2007) is a British middle distance runner.[1]

Career

In 2024, he won gold at the 2024 European Athletics U18 Championships over 800 metres in Banska Bystrica.[2]

At the British Milers Club in Watford on 21 August 2024, McKenna ran a personal best time of 1:46.84 for the 800 metres which placed him second on the European U18 800m all-time list behind Max Burgin.[3]

Personal life

He lived in Aberdeen prior to moving to England. He often runs wearing a backwards cap.[3]
