The Math Contest Repository (MCR) is an online platform designed to assist students in improving their mathematics skills, particularly in preparation for math competitions.^[1] Launched in October 2023 by a group of Grade 11 students from Garth Webb Secondary School, the Math Contest Repository provides a vast collection of math problems and solutions.^[2]

Overview

The Math Contest Repository's primary goal is to help students excel in contests organized by the University of Waterloo's Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC). The platform features over 1400 math problems, the majority of which are sourced from various educational websites.^[3] The MCR allows users to submit their answers and receive instant feedback, through offline and adaptive grading.^[3]

In late November 2023, the Math Contest Repository introduced the Problem of the Week (POTW) feature.^[4] This initiative challenges users to solve a new math problem each week, promoting regular practice and engagement with mathematics.
