Submission declined on 10 November 2024 by I dream of horses (talk). This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Mary Rutan Health (MRH) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization with multiple facilities including a general medical-surgical hospital, health center, and foundation located in central Ohio. MRH is accredited by DNV GL, a global quality assurance and risk management company. MRH received a five-star rating for three consecutive years from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.[1] In 2013, MRH received the Logan County Chamber of Commerce Integrity in Business Award.[2]
Mary Rutan Hospital and Health Center
[edit]Mary Rutan Hospital originated with a gift from Rebecca R. Williams in 1916.[3] The property was deeded to the city of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and, as specified in Williams' will, it became the site of a hospital named for her mother, Mary Rutan. The hospital opened in 1919.[3]
The Mary Rutan Health Center opened in 2018.[4] The 74,200-square-foot facility houses an urgent care facility, expanded physical rehabilitation services, and sports medicine, pain management, and occupational medicine services.[4] The center was enlarged in 2023 to accommodate growing service lines. The additional third floor houses an 18,000-square-foot space with 21 private exam rooms.[5]
Mary Rutan Foundation
[edit]The Mary Rutan Foundation (the Foundation) creates philanthropic relationships to support patient care services, medical scholarships, medical equipment, and capital development while promoting health and wellness through educational programs and services to the community.[6] The Foundation offers a Scholarship & Loan program annually to local students to assist with medical career education expenses.[7]
The Foundation also offers Community Wellness Grants to address high-priority health risks and needs for Logan County. In 2023-2024, mental health was chosen as the county's most pressing health concern for youth and adults. The Wellness Grants were given to chosen programs focusing on mental health initiatives targeting youth. Programs were required to be Logan County schools, and grant requests were from $500 to $5,000.[8] Nearly $450,000 has been awarded since the inception of the grant program.[9]
