Mariana Méndez (born November 10, 1992) is a Mexican film producer based in the United States.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Méndez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1992.[2] She earned a bachelor's degree in Film & TV Production from the New York Film Academy in 2015. She also earned an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business in 2024.[2]
Career
[edit]Méndez has produced notable films including Oscar nominated shorts in both the live action and animation spaces.[3][4] Her latest animated film, HUMO, was shortlisted for the 2024 Academy Awards[5] and nominated for an Annie Award.[6]
Since 2017, Méndez has been a part of Joshua Jason Public Relations, a platform through which she supports the execution of Academy Award campaigns for entertainment companies such as Warner Bros., Apple Inc., Focus Features and others.[7] She has also led campaigns for the Oscar winning shorts such as Skin (2019 film) and The Neighbors' Window (2020), along with five other nominated shorts.[8][9]
Méndez is a member of the Producers Guild of America and she sits on the board of the Jalisco Film Commission.[10]
