Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group Inc. (MTDG), located in Florida, is a machinery manufacturing company.[1] It operates as a not-for-profit holding company for the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) and Advanced Manufacturing International, Inc. (AMI).[2][3]

History

[edit]

The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) was established in 2003 to provide solutions for the United States manufacturing industry, with a focus on applying advanced manufacturing technologies from research and development to practical applications within the US Army.[4] Advanced Manufacturing International (AMI), a non-profit organization, was launched in 2020 to assist small manufacturers in adopting advanced manufacturing technology.[5] Both NCDMM and AMI became subsidiaries of MTDG in 2020.[6]

Dean Bartles is the President and CEO of the Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group, Inc.[citation needed] The company works on emerging manufacturing technologies and their adoption by industrial companies and defense manufacturing organizations.[7] This involves collaboration with universities, research institutions, and technology providers.[8]

Awards

[edit]

MTDG was the winner of Most Innovative Defense Manufacturing Organization 2023 award by Acquisition International Global Excellence Awards.[9] Both NCDMM and AMI were winners of 2022 Manufacturing Leadership Awards by manufacturing leadership council.[10]
