MJoobi, born Soheil Mahjoobi, is an Iranian music producer, sound engineer, and DJ, recognized for his contributions to blending Persian traditional music with electronic sounds.[1] Active since the mid-2000s, he has worked with numerous Iranian artists and contributed to the underground music scene in Iran.[2][3]

Biography

[edit]

MJoobi began his career producing music and collaborating with Iranian artists, including Sogand, in Tehran's underground music scene.[1] His work faced legal restrictions due to the regulatory environment for music in Iran. In 2018, MJoobi relocated to France, where he co-founded Lighthouse Records[4] and Signull Academy. These initiatives are dedicated to experimental music production and mentoring emerging talents.[2][3][5]
