Professor Dr. M. Enamul Hossain (born June 6, 1969) is an internationally recognized academic, scientist, and expert who has made significant contributions in the fields of mineral resources, environmental studies, and sustainability. He is the founder, CEO, and President of the NSRIC Group.

Early Life and Education
[edit]Prof. Hossain earned his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1995. He then pursued a Master's in Petroleum and Mineral Resources Engineering through a collaboration between BUET and the University of Alberta, completing the degree in 2001. He received a PhD in Sustainable Petroleum Engineering and an MBA from Dalhousie University, Canada, in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
Career
[edit]Prof. Hossain has held a variety of academic and administrative positions at universities worldwide, including:
- Statoil Chair Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), Canada
- Faculty positions at Ryerson University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dalhousie University, Sultan Qaboos University, American University in Cairo, Nazarbayev University, and Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET).
He has also worked as an adjunct professor in many universities globally and held roles in various industries, including leadership positions at Saudi Aramco, ONGE, Qatar Petroleum, Petronas, and ADNOC.
Contributions to Research
[edit]Prof. Hossain has made significant contributions to sustainable energy and petroleum engineering, particularly through his introduction of the "memory concept" for petroleum applications. His research has been recognized internationally, securing over US$16.9 million in funding from agencies such as Statoil, Saudi Aramco, and NSERC.
He holds 11 US patents, some of which are in the process of commercialization. His body of work includes over 200 scientific articles and 10 books, published with major publishers like Elsevier, Wiley, and Scrivener Publishing.
Philanthropy and Educational Leadership
[edit]Prof. Hossain is the founder of the NSRIC International School in Toronto (NIST) and the NSRIC International College in Toronto (NICT). He also founded the Aziza Trust, a charitable organization established in 2009, through which he established the NSRIC Education City in Chattogram, Bangladesh, providing education to underprivileged students.
Entrepreneurship
[edit]In addition to his academic and philanthropic achievements, Prof. Hossain is a successful entrepreneur. He is the CEO of NSRIC Green Supplies Inc., Canada, and was the Managing Director of Aziza Consulting and Construction Ltd. in Bangladesh and BrightCoral Inc. in Canada.
Personal Life
[edit]Dr. Hossain’s personal and professional philosophy is deeply rooted in his spiritual background. His scientific exploration of petroleum fluid memory is influenced by his interpretation of Surah Al-Hashr, which has guided his research and academic pursuits.
