Lyrra (in Bulgarian: Лира) is a Bulgarian pop-ethnic singer and author of music.

Biography

Lyrra was born on June 5, 1995 in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.

She completed her primary education in her hometown Kyustendil.

At the age of 14, she moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where she enrolled to study secondary education at the "Lyubomir Pipkov" National Music School, where she was accepted first. In the music school, Lyrra recorded "folklor singing" as a main subject and a special "piano".

She graduated with honors, and the musical education she received there helped her later become a true musician and author of the music she likes and wants to recreate for the public and listeners.

2014 - 2020: Career beginnings and Lyrra

Just after graduating from music school, Lyrra was invited by Prof. Dr. Georgi Petkov to become part of the "Estruna[1]" project, which in 2018 won a Latin Grammy for the album "Al Este del cante".In Estruna, Lyrra is on the same stage with names like Arcángel, Antonio Forcione, Augustin Diasera.

In 2014, Lyrra, just after completing her secondary education, appeared at the competition announced for the recruitment of choristers - sopranos, for the "Mystery of Bulgarian Voices" choir. She was accepted on the very first tour and almost immediately became part of the choir's concert line-up with which they toured and performed all over the world.

In 2014, Lyrra became part of the first chatsen ensemble in Bulgaria - Chinary, where she is the main vocalist and co-founder of the vocal trio Bulgarina and ethnic group Etnotix.

In 2016, Lyrra went on an American tour together with "the Mystery of Bulgarian Voices[2]" choir, performing concerts in some of the most emblematic halls and places such as Disney Hall in Los Angeles, USA. ​Together with them, they also perform concerts on Seattle's KEXP radio, where some of the biggest music artists have presented their music.

In 2018, she participated in the creation of the choir's album "The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices[3]", which they made together with the world-famous Lisa Gerard. The album is called "Boo-chee-mish" and it also features Skiller. the composer of the album is Petar Dundakov.

2020 - 2023:

Lyrra met the music producer Fabrizio Parisi and became part of his music label Fa and Mi Music, where she worked together with Fabrizio Parisi and Vasil Ivanov - The Editor.

It was with them that Lyrra created her first author's song "Believe", which immediately after its release conquered all the music charts. This is the beginning of her career as an independent artist.

2024 - present:

In 2024, Lyrra began her completely independent career as a singer, songwriter and producer. She created her own music label called "Lyrra Music[4]"

Lyrra is an artist who can boast of performances in front of huge audiences and incredible venues. She has sung, both solo and in tandem, at venues such as Disney Hall, USA; Alhambra, in Granada, southern Spain; Vasil Levski Stadium, Bulgaria; National Palace of Culture; etc.
