[edit]The Datamatics Group was founded by Dr. Lalit S. Kanodia in 1975. Lumina Datamatics Ltd was incorporated in 2014, following the acquisition of Pre Media Global, India. In 2022, Lumina Datamatics UK was incorporated with the acquisition of Sunrise Setting, a UK-based company. The expansion continued in 2023 and 2024 with the acquisition of diacriTech Technologies in India and the incorporation of Lumina Datamatics in the Philippines, respectively

[edit]On July 16, 2024, in an interview with Economic Times Insights, Mr. Sameer Kanodia, Managing Director and CEO of Lumina Datamatics shared the company's commitment to harnessing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI). He emphasized that AI is a key component of Lumina Datamatics' broader strategy to drive the digital revolution, as highlighted in reports by ET Insights, a digital media company.
On January 29, 2023, Mr. Sameer Kanodia expressed concern over the challenging global economic outlook during an interview with Financial Express, a renowned Indian business newspaper. He noted the likelihood of a recession and subsequent slowdown and pointed out that India's current account was in deficit, emphasizing the urgent need to boost exports.
In June 2023, Mr. Kanodia shared his insights on job satisfaction myths in an article based on the topic, bursting the myths of job satisfaction published by The Times of India online portal.
In August 2023, Mr. Kanodia contributed an article on how students can use data analytics in their education, which was published by The Hindu ePaper.
Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives
[edit]Space Kidz India, with the support of Lumina Datamatics, launched its latest satellite, “AzaadiSAT-2,” on February 10, 2023. This launch marked a significant milestone for Space Kidz India and Lumina Datamatics. The partnership with Space Kidz India focused on launching a satellite into outer Space involving 750 teenage girls across 75 rural schools. Through this mission, Space was made explorable and economical for future generations. The satellite launch initiative helped young girls from impoverished backgrounds with new opportunities.
