Raúl Armando del Valle Robles (born May 29, 2000), known professionally as Luar la L, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. His first steps in music were related to participating in freestyle battles. In 2021, he made his international breakthrough with his collaboration with fellow Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny "100 Millones".[1] He also collaborated with artists such as Ozuna, Cris MJ, Yandel, Anuel AA, and Nicky Jam, among others.

Career

[edit]

After signing with White Lion Records, Luar la L released his debut extended play L3tra in 2020.[2][3] One of the tracks in the project titled "Caile" became his first successful song peaking at number five on Spain's PROMUSICAE chart. On May 28, 2021, Luar la L collaborated with Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny in "100 Millones". The single peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart and at number nine on the Hot Latin Songs chart, which was Luar's first entry on the Billboard.[4] At the end of 2021, he released "Socio" with Eladio Carrión, part from Carrión's third studio album Sauce Boyz 2.[5]

On May 26, 2022, Luar la L released his second extended play titled L3tra Platinum Reloaded, which is considered as a deluxe version of L3tra. It includes remixes of all eight tracks from the previos extended play. On November, 2022, his single "Lately" came out. On December 18, 2022, Luar la L released his debut studio album L3tra 2.

At the beginning of 2023, Luar la L appeared on the remix version of Jon Z's song "Fxck".[6] Later, he collaborated with De la Ghetto and Yovngchimi in "Los Palos". On April 25, 2023, Luar featured on Jay Wheeler's album Emociones 1.5 in the song Pacto along with Dei V and Hades66.[7] On August 3, 2023, Luar la L and Ozuna released their single "Otra Vibra".[8] In August, 2023, Luar la L featured on Bad Bunny's fifth studio album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana in the song "Teléfono Nuevo". The song debuted at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which marked Luar's first entry on the chart. In November, 2023, he participated on Yandel's single "Click".[9] Luar la L and Lunay accepted Gaby Music's invite to collaborate on the single No Te Quieren Conmigo, which was released on December 15, 2023.[10]

On March 15, 2024, Luar la L appeared on the remix version of Pressure 9x19's song "VVS Switch" along with Anuel AA, Yovngchimi, CDobleta and Hades66.[11] Later, he collaborated with Jhayco and Bryant Myers in "KTM". On May 3, 2024, Luar la L participated on Casper Mágico's Toki alongside Anuel AA and iZaak.[12] Later, he released his single "Perdida" on June 27, 2024.
