Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple
[edit]Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple (abbreviated as LAHHBT in English, or frequently called Nishi or Nishi Hongwanji, Japanese: 本派本願寺羅府別院 [Honnpa Honganji Rafu Betsuin]) is a Jodo Shinshu temple under the Mahayana Buddhist group of the Buddhist Churches of America in the United States. Under the minissionary purpose for members and non-members, a variety of Buddhist rituals are practiced. [1]Whereas, taking advantage of the geographic character of being located near Little Tokyo, regular events are hosted such as the Obon festival.
