Comment: Firstly, why would we need a list of Republican presidencies as a separate concept from the overall list of presidents?
Secondly, why does this list not include any of the three Republican presidents who followed Ronald Reagan? Thirdly, please note that drafts are not allowed to be filed in categories as if they were already finished articles, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT. Bearcat (talk) 02:27, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

The Republican Party was founded in 1854.^[1] They quickly rose to popularity, managing to narrowly lose the 1856 United States presidential election. The first Republican President was Abraham Lincoln in 1861. There have been 19 Republican presidents so far. The last us president who was a Republican was Donald Trump in 2017.

^ This was before the 25th Amendment in 1967. Since Henry Wilson died in office, There would be no vice president until the next election. But grant decided not to run for a third term,which meant no more vice president.
^ On July 2, 1881 James A. Garfield was shot in the Baltimore station by Charles J. Guiteau. Over a month later,He was pronounced dead on September 14, 1881. He was president for only 6 months.^[5]
