Lilah Benetti is an Australian artist known for their work in photography, film and multimedia installations. Their art often explores themes of Black queerness, identity, and representation.

Born in Daylesford, Victoria, Benetti is of Italian and Zambian heritage. Their father is Larry Maluma. Benetti holds a Bachelor in Design Arts and Communication Design. Their work has been featured in prominent publications such as The Guardian (2024, 2021)[1], Art Net (2023)[2], VOGUE Italia (2022)[3] and THE FACE UK (2022).[4]

Career

Benetti's career spans various artistic mediums, including photography, film, and projection art. They have participated in numerous exhibitions, film festivals, and artist residencies both in Australia and internationally. They have also participated in panel discussions on topics such as Black Queer Futures and culture making.
