From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konstantinos Panas (Greek: Κωνσταντίνος Πανάς, b. 2002), better known by his stage name Lil Koni is a Greek rapper and songwriter.

Early life and education

[edit]

Panas (aka Lil Koni) was born in Athens to businessman Chrysanthos Panas and jewelry designer Elena Syraka[1] and he was raised in Vouliagmeni.[2] His interest in music rose during his early childhood because of his uncle who occasionally worked as a club DJ.[3] Panas later received music lessons by composer George Theofanous. He cites XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, Drake but also his fellow Greek and friend Mad Clip (1987 – 2021) as some of his main influences.[3][4][5] Panas is currently a student at the Athens School of Fine Arts.[5][6][7]

Career

[edit]

Lil Koni began rapping when he was 12 years old. At the age of 14 he signed with Panik Records and the same year released his debut song. The following year Lil Koni started his cooperation with Mad Clip, a person he knew before the beginning of his career and refers to him as his own mentor.[5][6][7][8] So far he has cooperated with artists like Mad Clip (Komma Komma), Ypohthonios (Stylista), Trannos[9] (Tentacion) and Saske[10] (Konta Mou).

In 2021 Lil Koni appeared on MadWalk. On September 10, 2022 he performed on Colourday Festival 2022.[11] His debut solo album Antistress was released in late 2022.[12][13] In June 2023 Lil Koni performed at the 20th edition of MAD Video Music Awards. The same year his second studio album, under the title Highland, was released.[10] In 2024 he performed a duet with the humanoid robot Sophia under the title AI Love.[14][15] He also appeared in MAD Video Music Awards with Giorgos Sabanis.[16]
