Leidy Murilho (born June 18, 1986) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter known for her work in gospel and pop music. She is recognized for her energetic, danceable style, blending influences from blues, Latin, and electronic music.[1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Leidy Murilho was born in Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brazil. Raised in a pastoral family, she was involved in church events from a young age, which fostered her early interest in music. In 2018, she began her professional career by winning the Eagle Gospel Music Festival in Goiânia, which led to a contract with Sony Music. This achievement established her within the gospel music scene, where she incorporated influences from pop and black music.[2]
Career
[edit]2018–present: Professional Music Career Murilho launched her professional career in 2018 with the release of her single "Eu Sou Deus" under Sony Music. She gained recognition in Brazil's gospel music scene and performed at notable events such as the Virada Cultural in São Paulo and the Hard Rock Café in Curitiba.[3]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Murilho released over 20 songs, further cementing her presence in gospel music.[4] In 2022, she released two albums: Por Completo and an acoustic EP, showcasing her musical versatility.[5]
In 2023, Murilho signed with Todah Music and released her first gospel pop single, "Pense Bem".[6]
