Based on Su Dongpo's two terms of service in Hangzhou as the background, “Legendary Su Dongpo” tells the story of Su Dongpo in Hangzhou: repairing the seawall, dredging the West Lake, developing people's livelihood, solving cases, fighting corruption, private visits, delicious food, strange stories, philosophical thoughts, anecdotes, composing poems, painting, tasting tea, boating, breaking willow branches...a series of stories depict the full-featured Su Dongpo. It conveys to the audience Su Dongpo's good qualities such as modesty, optimism and kindness, embodies traditional Chinese values such as dedication and friendliness, explores Zhejiang's local Song Dynasty Charm, which has "a unique flavor of the intersection of history and reality", and continues to polish the brand of Zhejiang culture. In addition, it uses modern digital animation technology to show the charisma of Su Dongpo and promote Chinese culture to the world.
