Lee Chaeryeong (born 5 June 2001), better known mononymously as Chaeryeong, is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member of the K-pop girl group ITZY, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2019. Known for her powerful performances, Chaeryeong plays the role of lead dancer, vocalist, and rapper in the group.
Early Life and Pre-debut
[edit]Chaeryeong was born on 5 June 2001 in Yongin, South Korea. She developed an interest in music and dance from a young age. Chaeryeong was a contestant on the reality competition show K-pop Star 3 (2013), where she gained recognition for her dancing skills. Although she didn't win, her performance attracted the attention of JYP Entertainment, who later recruited her.[1]
She trained under JYP Entertainment for several years before debuting as a member of ITZY. Chaeryeong is known for her charming and professional personality, which has endeared her to fans.
ITZY Debut and Success
