L'ombra delle donne is an true story podcast hosted by Grazia De Sensi narrating 12 nonfiction stories over multiple episodes. The series was created by Grazia De Sensi and produced by Audible; as of January 2008, it is owned by Amazon.

The audio production and post production are by Paolo Corleoni and Valeria Ardito.

The first season contains 12 episodes,[1] each dedicated to a woman who tells her story with her own authentic voice, following the common thread of "shadows". The themes addressed in the first season are: domestic violence, plastic surgery, betrayals, assisted fertilization, risky motherhood, secrets, deviations, illness, honor, the mafia.

Some magazines and media such as: Vanity Fair,[2] IoDonna,[3] Corriere Della Sera,[4] Radio24,[5] Calabria Mag[6] , RadioInBlu talked about the first season of the podcast.

The second season focused on 12 new stories[7] with modern-day female protagonists in an authentic stream of consciousness, telling their own stories. The themes that emerged in this second season are: mobbing, emotional addictions, anorexia, abuse, gender stereotypes and transitions, violence, mental disorders, rare diseases, secrets, extortion and blackmail, pain, bullying and mourning.

The author spoke about L'ombra delle Donne at the Festival Della Comunicazione[12] in Camogli, during a talk with Sofia Maroudia and Barbara Stefanelli,[12] in September 2021. Later, in October 2021 she was invited as a speaker at the annual convention of the International Coaching Federation in Milan, where she talked about the "active listening method"[13] used in collecting stories while recording the podcast. The third season is work in progress.
