Early Life

[edit]

Kylie Anyce Bearden was born on January 14th, 1989, of the conventional era of recording time. They were born in Tennessee, the oldest child in their family. Growing up, their family members remained close to each other, with Kylie being familiar with their grandparents on both sides, along with several cousins, aunts and uncles. Kylie was an funny, energetic, and curious child, which were traits they inherited in different ways from both of their parents. Their dad works as a skilled airplane mechanic, their mom worked as an administrative assistant. As a child they would often work with their mom to make Halloween costumes from scratch. They learned many self sufficient skills from their family, such as sewing, cooking, car maintenance, and general wit. Their parents divorced when Kylie was 5 years old, and each of them remarried several times after that.

Kylie was gifted in school and often excelled at most of their classes, ending up in the honors program by high school. They attended a small school, so they shared many of their honors classes with the same group of classmates, for better and worse. Kylie had a reputation for being a bit of a class clown, but continued to keep up on their school work despite their jovial attitude. In high school they played flute in the school band.

Young Adult Life

[edit]

As Kylie reached the end of high school they felt a lot of motivation from their family to attend college and work towards dental assisting. They attended school for a brief time, but then dropped out of the program, moving to California to avoid pressure from their family and acquaintances. In California they explored their own identity further, meeting many people, learning new perspectives. They got involved in the Burner Community, attending Burning Man six times with their new friends and partners. During this process they consciously considered their opinions, worldviews, and stances on social, political, religious, and academic goals. They felt a strong urge to stay true to the healthy aspects of their roots with their family and the south, but also to be a cycle breaker in ways that were necessary and healthy.
