KoronaPay Europe Limited (KoronaPay Europe Ltd.) is a Cyprus-based Electronic Money Institution providing international money remittance services to individuals, primarily focused on migrant workers in Europe.
KoronaPay’s mobile application allows customers to make cross-border card-2-card, card-2-cash, account-2-cash transfers.
History
[edit]In December 2018, KoronaPay Europe Limited was granted Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license No. 115.1.3.30/2018 by the Central Bank of Cyprus. Which has later been “passported” throughout all EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the UK.
The launch of KoronaPay Europe was seen by some European financial publications [1] as a serious challenge for leading fintech companies already present in the region.
At the first stage, KoronaPay Europe focused on money transfers from Europe to the CIS countries. Currently, KoronaPay’s transfers can be received in more than 50 countries.[2]
