Konstantin Komarov - nicknamed "KK" (born November 18, 1989, in Samara, Russia) is a musician and member of the music band Walking Papers.
Early Life
[edit]Konstantin Komarov was born in Samara, Russia, on November 18, 1989. He began studying music at age seven, focusing on the flute. His father, who played acoustic guitar, and his uncle, who introduced him to effects chains for guitar, significantly influenced his early interest in music. Inspired, Konstantin began playing acoustic guitar and later transitioned to bass guitar. In his teens, he started jamming with local musicians, which set the stage for his future music career.
In 2011, Konstantin Komarov formed the band beautifulmonster with musicians Fedor Fufaev (lead vocal, guitar) and Anton Ladygin (Drums). The band released several works, starting with the single Closed and an album of the same name. In 2012, they released the EP Morning. In 2013, the single I Don't Care gained exposure through the UK magazine St Paul Lifestyle, which featured an article on the band.
Following his work with Beautifulmonster, Konstantin Komarov launched a new project called Underthestars with Michail Snegirev, Ekaterina Ananyeva, and Ilya Iaikov. The band recorded their debut EP, In One Love, which was released in 2022. This project allowed KK to explore different musical styles and collaborate with other Russian artists, expanding his influence in the music industry.
In March 2020, Komarov relocated to Seattle, Washington, in the United States, where he joined the rock band Walking Papers. He performs as the bassist and contributes to the band as a lap steel guitarist, electric guitarist, and backing vocalist. His versatile skill set has added new dimensions to the band's sound, incorporating various instruments and samples.
