Knanaya Malankara Catholics are a small group within the Knanaya Catholic community.They reunited with the Knanaya community of Kottayam Archeparchy from 1921 onwards, from the Knanaya Jacobite community. They are part of Kottayam Archeparchy, and follow the west syriac rite, which makes the Kootayam Archeparchy as the only Catholic jurisdiction that uses two different liturgies, as the other being the east syriac rite.
