Kimberly Jeanette Williams (born February 27, 1976), better known by the stage name K!m Pratt (also Kim Pratt, Kimpathy and Kiwi,) is an American female rapper, Urban Gospel Music advocate, visual artist and music industry representative. Born in Norfolk, VA, United States, she later moved to Detroit, MI and now calls it home. Music Industry
[edit]Hearing early Christian Hip Hop (CHH) pioneers like P.I.D. and Michael Peace, is a defining moment in Pratt's life. This genre not only impacted her own artistry but the union of Hip Hop and Gospel Music was the catalyst to her wanting to help expose listeners to artists they may not have heard of. Following this desire, Pratt graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Music with a concentration of Music Business. She then began interning and later working full time for Crystal Rose Records, one of the top 10 independent Gospel Music labels at that time. After gaining experience, Pratt then began her own promotions company focusing on the original sound that inspired her, Christian Hip Hop and Urban Gospel Music. This allowed her to be one of the pioneers to assist in the growth and exposure of CHH and urban gospel music artists by way of Radio Promotions, marketing, artist management and articles written for numerous publications within the Music Industry. She also had a radio show and tv show called the Kim Pratt Show in syndication nationally and internationally on 10 platforms that focused on playing Urban Gospel Music.
