Kerfoot Copse is a beautiful natural area of Woodland, Grassland and lakes in the Morristown area of New Jersey, US and is home to a variety of wild life.
It is a popular place for walks and picnics but its history goes back much further than many people realise. A history which is only noted due to a small wooden plaque which can be found in amongst the woodland.
The history of Kerfoot Copse goes all the way back to the Civil War era, and its name refers to the heroic acts of a Captain Kerfoot, an Officer in the British Army at the time.
The location of the Copse can be found on Google maps at the below link. It can also be selected as an option on your uber app should you so require.
