Kelsey Barnard Clark is a chef and restaurateur from Dothan, Alabama. She gained national recognition as the winner of Season 16 of Bravo's Top Chef".[1] Her victory meal included a four-course Southern-inspired menu that impressed the judges.[2] Kelsey is known for her blend of Southern and French cuisine, which she showcases at her restaurant, KBC.[3]

Life

Kelsey started working in the food industry at a young age, catering her first solo wedding at just 15 years old.[4] She later graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and honed her skills in several Michelin-starred restaurants in New York City, including Café Boulud and Dovetail.[5] Kelsey also a gardener and grows much of the produce used in her restaurant, KBC. She lives with her husband, Deavours, and their two children, Monroe and Evelyn June.[6] Kelsey has published a cookbook titled "Southern Grit" and is working on another book focused on entertaining. She frequently appears on Food Network shows like "Tournament of Champions," "Chopped," and "Guy's Grocery Games".[7]

After her win, Kelsey returned to Dothan, Alabama, and opened her restaurant, KBC, which stands for Kelsey Barnard Clark. The restaurant focuses on Southern hospitality and cuisine, using fresh, whole ingredients.[8][9]
