Ass. Prof. Dr. Kasom Chanawongse is active in various fields:
1. Education : He is the President of the College of Asian Scholars (CAS)<ref1>, where his vision has lead the university since 2001, date of its creation, along with his father Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse. He is also Vice-President of TechnoPhon which is the Vocational College of Phon district, within Khon Kaen Province. President Dr. Kasom Chanawongse delivered a talk on “Leadership in You,” inspiring exchange students from the University of Baguio-STELA and Nagasaki Wesleyan University. <ref2> His vision for Thai education is threefold: - give access to education to rural communities in order to get a decent job after they graduated - develop the international cooperation of universities within Asia to facilitate the region's students exchanges - promote the development of cutting edge technology knowledge in Thai education system though initiatives such as the APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC). 2. Business: Kasom Chanawongse was a Former Board Member at BG Container Glass PCL until end of 2020. He has been member of several boards of Thai companies. <ref3>
3. Football: Kasom Chanawongse created the Khon Kaen FC Bold textmen team in 2005 and the BGC College of Asian Scholars women team in 2001 in Phon. He's President of both clubs. In 2011, KK FC played in the Premier League and BGC CAS is still in the Thai Women Premier League, with 6 titles. He was also President of Football Association of Thailand during 5 years (2015 - 2020).
In summary, Kasom Chanawongse’s contributions to Education, Business and Football in Thailand and overseas has shown his leadership and passion.
