Kalos Christian Academy is a private classical Christian school in Kansas City, Missouri, serving kindergarten through high school. Located at 4513 N. Jackson Ave. Kansas City, Missouri, in Winnwood Baptist Church, it operates on a four-day school week model. Kalos also offers a colaborative education to the homeschooling community of Kansas City, allowing part-time enrollment in selected courses.

History

Founded in February 2023, Kalos Christian Academy emerged as a response to the growing demand for private Christian education in Kansas City's Northland area. "Kalos is a classical Christian school that uses principles from British educator Charlotte Mason to meet the needs of its students." Kalos Christian Academy is the first Charlotte Mason classical Chistian school in Kansas City.

Kalos hosted its first day of class September 5th, 2023 as an Association of Classical Christian Schools Start Up and as one of the first private Christian schools to open in fall 2023 through the Herzog School Box program, Kalos Christian Academy established its campus within Winnwood Baptist Church. This location was strategically chosen to serve the Northland community.

The school was designed with a unique four-day academic model, created "by parents for parents" to address specific community needs. This approach aimed to provide a balanced partnership between institutional education and family involvement. Listed as one of the Best Private Schools by Niche.com, a parent review states, "The quality of education and nurturing environment have exceeded our highest expectations. From day one, we've seen the teachers' and staff's genuine dedication to fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth in every student."
