Kaala Bhairava is an upcoming Indian Tamil-Telugu bilingual epic action adventure film written and directed by Ramesh Varma,[2] having Raghava Lawrence in the lead role.[3] The film is produced by Koneru Satyanaratana and Manish Shah under A Studios LLP banner in collaboration with Goldmine Telefilms, Neeladri Productions and Hawwish Productions.[4]

[edit]In mid September 2024, it was reported that Ramesh Varma would be directing the 25th film of Raghava Lawrence,[5] who was last seen in Jigarthanda DoubleX (2023).[6] The untitled epic action adventure film was tentatively tiled RL25.[7] The Tamil-Telugu bilingual film is said to be produced by Koneru Satyanaratana and Manish Shah under A Studios LLP[8] in collaboration with Goldmine Telefilms,[9] Neeladri Productions and Hawwish Productions[10] marking Varma's consequtive collaboration with Satyanarayana after Rakshasudu (2019) and Khiladi (2022).[4] It was also rumoured that this film is a remake of the 2023 Hindi film Kill directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat starring Lakshya and Raghav Juyal in the lead roles.[11]
On 29 October 2024, coinciding with Raghava's birthday, a title reveal first-look poster of RL25 was released with the title Kaala Bhairava by the makers.[2][3] It was reported that this pan-Indian super hero project[12] is produced at a whopping budget of around ₹200 crores.[1]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography was planned to commence on November 2024.[13]
Release
[edit]The film was reported to be released in Summer 2025 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages,[14] yet an official release date is to be announced.[1]
