To celebrate the grand opening of the Shagaya renewable energy power plant in western Kuwait, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research undertook the commissioning of a time capsule. The capsule, named: KISR Time Capsule 2061, is meant as a testament to the State of Kuwait’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and progress through science. The capsule is set to be opened in 2061, a year that marks the centennial anniversary of Kuwait’s independence.
