Juhani Karila (born 1985 in Kemijärvi, Finland) is a Finnish author. He lives in Pelkosenniemi. Karila holds a M.A in Communication studies from University of Tampere. Before becoming an author Karila has worked as journalist in Helsingin Sanomat. His novel Pienen hauen pyydystys (translated into English as Summer Fishing in Lapland[1]) has won Kalevi Jäntti literature prize in 2019 and Tähtifantasia and Jarkko Laine prizes in 2020.
