Josiah Emmanuel (born 1 January 2001) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward left and right winger for Montenegro Fk Podogrica team and also been called up for the junior National team of Nigeria U20 also the U23 Olympic's Team, Super Eagles B and the Super Eagles. Josiah's football career began in 2007 in the Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria and made his way to Moldova in Europe 2008 where he played for Steaua Academy Chișinău, and Real Success 2009.

Early career

Josiah Emmanuel was born in Enugu, Nigeria to a Christian religious family. In the year 2007, he began his football career in Nigeria at the Pepsi Football Academy[1] in Nigeria

Breakthrough in Moldova

In 2008, Josiah played for Steaua Academy Chișinău where he played 30 games, scoring 17 goals in his first Amateur seasons. He was subsequently moved in 2009–11 season to Real Success[2] where he set the league record scoring 30 in 44 appearances. Josiah held the record for the highest goals ever scored in one season in the history of the Moldova Amateur League in 2011.

FC Zaria Balti Club

Josiah Emmanuel was transferred to Fc Zaria Balti club summer 2011, where he played for the team B which he scored 33 goals in 25 appearances breaking another record for the B side of the Moldova Youth League. He was now Transfer in 2015 to Montenegro side OFK Mladost B where he scored 7 times in 13 Appearances. And in 2017 he moved to Fk Podogrica B which he has scored so far 21 goals in 44 Appearances.

International Career

In January 2015, Josiah Emmanuel confirmed the news of him been listed among the Nigeria U-23 National Team[3] in the final preparation for the Rio Olympics 2016 camping at Atlanta United States of America but couldn't make the final eighteen man list due to the injury he sustained at the training camp in the United States, what could have been his chance to represent Nigeria at the Olympics Football games as a Nigerian youngster player.

Josiah Emmanuel Fast Settling Down With Nigeria Professional League Side, Promise To Help Team Survive Relegation

The 23 years old Former Podgorica of Montenegro, Balikesirspor of Turkey and Seattle Sounders of USA forward is fast settling down with Heartland FC[4] and has promised to give his best in the second stanza of the league.

Heartland have struggled this season and currently languish at the bottom of the log and only two days ago lost scandalously to Plateau United at home with the Jos based side scoring 5 times while Heartland managed to score once.

Josiah Emmanuel believes all that will change and believes with the right attitude and mentality, the team will return back to winning form and will start earning crucial points both at home and away.

Addressing the media, Josiah Emmanuel said "I am here at Heartland FC to give my best. I am aware of the current situation of the club but I believe with the right mentality and attitude, we can start getting vital points home and away. As a player with experience, I will definitely try to motivate the lads in my little way and I believe with the efforts of the technical and management team, the team will fight its way out of the relegation zone" concluded Josiah.

Josiah Emmanuel On The Radar of Top Turkish Club

Josiah Emmanuel who had a brief stint with Plateau United last NPFL season has attracted interest from the Turkish Super League Side after turning down proposals from a MLS League side, Portuguese and Luxembourg League side.

Josiah who spoke with newsmen from his US base after completing a loan spell with Plateau United and featured in the FA Cup for them said he has been eager to join the higher league side in January and but has now reached a personal agreement with the Turkish Super League side, who are trying to work out a deal for him.

Josiah Emmanuel who just regained his full fitness from a hamstring injury revealed that he’s highly optimistic that something good will work out very soon with increasing confidence that a deal can be struck before the deadline.

The 23 years old winger who started his youth football career with a Turkish Club[5], Balıkesirspor has in the past been invited to the Nigeria National Team ‘B’, the national U-23 tagged Olympics Dream Team and that U-20 flying Eagles at different times.
