Jordan Arden Jenkins (born January 23rd 2010) is a former American basketball player who played basketball for 5 years. Jenkins, who stated his career with the San Antonio Spurs in 2019, has also played for the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and, the Wolverines.

Early life
[edit]Jenkins was born on January 23rd of 2010. Jenkins attended Renwood Elementary School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he often was looked apon as a good kid.

Professional career
[edit]Spurs
[edit]Jenkins started his basketball career as part of the 2018-19 spurs. Jenkins had an average rookie season, but not good enough to earn an extension with the spurs, making him a free agent at the end of the 18-19 season.
Bulls
[edit]Jenkins was picked up by the bulls during free agency. He signed a 1 year deal and started the first 2 games. Jordan had another mediocre season which, again, did not earn him an extension, thus making him a free agent at the end of the 19-20 seasons.
Los Angeles Lakers & Covid Year
[edit]During the end of the 19-20 season and into early offseason, the Covid-19 pandemic hit the earth forcing lockdowns and world stoppage. This meaning that no basketball would be played for all of the 20-21 season. However, before the lockdowns took effect, Jenkins would sign a 1 year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Meaning that during the whole 20-21 season (which was postponed numerous times), Jenkins was under contract with the Lakers.
Wolverines
[edit]JAfter all basketball activities were reinstated, Jenkins signed a 1 year deal with the Wolverines, uniting him with his father who was the head coach. Jenkins would announce that this would be hislast season before he retired”, expressing he wanted to “retire with his dad”, who also planned to retire. People where shocked that even under his father’s coaching, Jenkins would still stay mediocre, as he would have another average season. However this time, he was offered a 1 year contract extension and so was his dad. They both signed Thus keeping them under contract until the end of the 2023-24 season, and keeping them from being retired
2024 season
[edit]Jenkins would finally show signs of greatest during the 2024 season, as he put up career numbers all around the board. Jenkins would finis Top 3 in overall wolverines scoring, and top 5 in overall wolverines rebounds. Jenkins was not offered a contract however, and thus became a free agent. In an interview conducted before the last game of the seasons, Jenkins would express that he is “happy he didm’t retire at the end of last season” and that he “had a lot of fun and is willing to play more seasons.”
Retirment
[edit]On July 26th, 2024, Jenkins announced his retirement from professional basketball, marking the end to a 5 year career that spanned across 4 teams. This came as a shock to many as Jenkins was just coming off of his career best season. Jenkins would announce that “After 5 years i am here to announce my retirement from basketball. It has been a while ride. Thank you spurs for signing this little boy who didn’t even know how to make a layup at first, thank you to all the 4 teams i have played with, and most importantly, thank you to the Wolverines organization for housing me for my final 2 years.”
It was said that his dad turned down a contract to return to the Wolverines. It was also said that his dad will “not be retiring also”, making him a free agent.
