Johnathan Furner

[edit]

Johnathan Furner, also know as John was born in Utica, NY and raised primarily in New Hartford. His parents separated when he was 10 years old, leading him to drift between Frankfort, NY and New Hartford. During his teens, John experienced difficulties with school attendance, eventually resulting in his placement into the NYS system due to missing too much school.

Early Life and Education

[edit]

John struggled with school attendance and, to this day, remains unsure of the reasons behind his reluctance to attend. He was placed in multiple childcare facilities over the span of four years, including the House of Good Shepherd in Utica, Elmcrest in Syracuse, and finally The William George Agency (also known as George Junior Republic) in Freeville, NY.

During his time in these facilities, Furner taught himself to play the guitar, a skill he continued to refine throughout his stay. He notably performed at his high school graduation at George Junior with staff members of the facility.

After graduating, Johnathan briefly attended Tompkins Cortland Community College, often citing Steve Jobs' approach to higher education as his inspiration for his unconventional path to not attend certain classes.

Musical Ventures

[edit]

Following college, Johnathan formed small bands with acquaintances from high school, most notably the band Blend, which was active from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, however, Johnathan parted ways with the band due to differing opinions, which led to creative and personal conflicts with other band members.

Coding and Online Ventures

[edit]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Furner began learning to code, inspired by YouTube livestreamer Hoobs.Live. He eventually became a moderator for Hoobs.Live. However, due to controversy surrounding accusations of copied code and ideas, Johnathan was terminated from his role as moderator.

After parting ways with Hoobs.Live, Johnathan shifted his focus to coding for GTA V and FiveM, drawing inspiration from his hometown to create the server The 315 Oneida County Roleplay. This server is based on various towns and cities within the Mohawk Valley region.
