John Chamling Rai (Nepali: जोन चाम्लिङ राई; born November 5, 1998, in Dharan, Nepal), is a Nepali singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his work in Nepali music industry.[1][2] He began his musical career in 2020 by releasing single "Prasna", also released "Firework" which is a collaboration with Nyshang. He released "Parkhi Rahexu", "KO XA RA", and "VAGYAMANI MOH" in 2021. In 2022, "Sadhana", "Nihita", and "Mutu Dekhin" was released. He then released "Hawa Jastai", Samaya Le", and "Farkanna Hola" in 2023. In 2024, he released "K Garu", "Vanana Matra", and "Badal Sari".[3][4][5]John is currently working in a band "John and The Locals and performing live shows. He started gaining popularity after the release of his song Sadhana with in 2022.[6][7][8]
