Jethalal Champaklal Gada is an fictional character from the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He is an business-owner of Gada Electronic, an electronic store. Jethalal’s family originated from Bhachau, Kutch and lives in Mumbai with his family including his father, Champaklal Jayantilal Gada, His wife, Daya Jethalal Gada and Tipendra Jethalal Gada (Tapu). The character is created by Asit Kumarr Modi and Portrayed by Dilip Joshi.
Development
[edit]Jethalal was first introduced in 2008 in a sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah who hails from Kutch.[1] He loves to eat food especially Jelabi Fafda.[2] He is often get scolded by his father, Champaklal for being strict with his son and wife. His mother has been passed way in 1986. In the show, he is potrayed as an Kutchi businessman and is able to speak Hindi, Gujarati and Kutchi fluently and knows few English words. He has an best-freind named Taark Mehta, who support Jethalal in every problem. He has sometimes arguments with Bhide.[3] He also has an Crush on his neighbour, Babita however, Iyer, husband of Babita tries to keep them two away. His comedy with his co-work Kush Shah also named Goli is the sitcom is one of the best viewers choice.[4]
His portrayal of Jethala has received praise, making him a well-liked character in Indian television history.[5]
