Jerry Christian Dumais is a Massachusetts business owner and politician who is currently the 44th mayor of Marlborough, Massachusetts and was a member of the Marlborough City Council.
Early life and education
[edit]Jerry Christian Dumais was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts to Jerry and Donna Dumais with his brother Andrew Dumais. Jerry graduated Marlborough High School in 1998, he then went on to graduate from Lasell University and earn his business administration degree with a bachelor's degree.
Early business career
[edit]Jerry opened up a small salon and spa business in 2010 named Drumais[1]. The Drumais building used to be a shoe factory established in 1867.
Early political career
[edit]In 2015, Jerry decided to run for the Ward 3 City Council seat but ended up losing[2]. Jerry also decided to run for mayor in 2015 but lost to incumbent Matthew Elder 405-260.[3]
Later political career
[edit]In 2017, Jerry decided to run for the Ward 3 City Council seat again, in the end he ended up winning the seat. In 2023, Jerry ran for Mayor for the second time, after getting second in the preliminary election with 1,491 votes Jerry ended up winning against his opponent Samantha Perlman 3,593 votes to Samantha's 3,251[4]
