Jason Field (born Jason William Field; 3 March 1989) is an Australian model[1][2][3][4] and voice on mental health.[5][6]

Education | Bachelor of Economics, First Class Honours (2010). University of Technology, Sydney. |
Occupation(s) | Model, Mental Health Advocate |

Career
[edit]Field has described his modelling career starting after a burn out as a private banker.[7][8]
He signed with Iconic Management in Berlin[9] following fellow Australian Nicole Trunfio.[10] Jason and Desasterkids drummer Tom Hegewald (alias Tommy Hey)[11] were one of the first men signed to the previously female-only agency.
Jason's early work involved a beauty campaign[12] with german photographer Tamara Williams.[13]
Field gained greater recognition after appearing in Vogue magazine[14][15][16][17][18][19] wearing traditional German fashion known as Trachtenmode. Alexandra Keil's[20] [21] 230 year old Tegernsee based, Trachten Greif,[22] has since recruited him several times.[23][24]
Commercial Work
[edit]He has lent his image to several well known brands along side prominent industry names:
- Christ Jewellery with Melanie Kroll, the spouse of Álvaro Soler.[25]
- Henkel with former Miss Hamburg[26] Annelie Alper[27] and English actor David Atkins.[28]
- Transition Lenses with Katia Andre[29] and Cristiano Palmerini.[30][31][32][33][34]
- Staropramen with Strictly Come Dancing performer Trent Whiddon.[35]
- Raffaello with Agatha Teyssier, partner of Tony Parker.[36][37][38][39]
As well as being the face of a number of international campaigns including Amex,[40][41][42] Gilette [43][44] and Hidrofugal (a subsidiary of Nivea).[45]
Ambassadorship
[edit]Jason hosted 'Cookside Down with Jason Field' in collaboration with Germany Tourism.
- Episode 1: Apfulküchle with Felicitas Then[46]
- Episode 2: Currywurst with Hendrik Haase[47]
- Episode 3: Krabbenbrötchen with Koral Elci[48]
He has worked with ultra-luxury hotels:
- Amanwana[49][50][51][52] from the Aman Group frequented by Diana, Princess of Wales.[53]
- Southern Ocean Lodge[54][55][56][57] named best hotel in Oceania in 2024.[58]
- Monteverdi[59][60][61][62][63][64] working with Holland's Next Top Model season 8 contender Sterre Noa Groot.
In Australia, Jason partnered with Qantas for a 3 part series entitled 'Meet the Maker' with actress Naomi Sequeira:
Mental Health Advocacy
[edit]Jason has long spoken about mental health[68][69] and social exhaustion[70][71] however his involvement as a teacher begun with the Covid-19 pandemic. As many people were forced to communicate via video calls he provided advice for confidence on camera.[72][73]
This developed into guided meditations[74] until beginning the Somatic Sunday platform he runs today.
Somatic Sunday has varied between public and pay-walled since 2023[75][76] however Field has returned to open access in tandem with the writing of a forthcoming book on anxiety.[77]
Education
[edit]Jason studied Economics at the University of Technology, Sydney winning the Goodman Scholarship and graduating with First Class Honours.[78]
He credits exposure to a range of mentors within the mental health industry[79] including Tim (possibly Tim Brown[80][81]), Shelly (likely Shelly Towns[82]) and 'Josh' his long term therapist.[7][79]
Other influences disclosed:[79] Stephen Porges, Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine, Gabor Maté and Stephen Jenkinson.
Person Life and Family
[edit]Surfing is often involved in his messaging[83][84] sometimes from Bali, Indonesia.[85][86]
Field claims to be a descendent of John Field (also Feld)[87] a wealthy English merchant[88] and Alderman of London[89][90][91] in the 15th Century.[92][93] He notably lent £2000[94] to King Henry VI in 1450 for the defence of Calais, and was an early user of promissory notes.[95][96]
John Field's grand daughter, Dorothea (also Dorothy) Feld[97] married Sir William Filliol (also Fillol, Fyllol)[98] of Fillol's Hall who had issue marrying into British nobility:
- Anne Filliol married Sir Edward Willoughby.[99][100][101] Their great-grand daughter Lady Margaret of Wollaton married Robert Spencer '"reputed to have by him the most money of any person in the Kingdom."[102] As part of the Spencer family, Robert and Margaret are early ancestors of Diana, Princess of Wales, Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
- Catherine Fillol married Sir Edward Seymour[103][104][105] who was brother to Jane Seymour, Queen of England, third wife to King Henry VIII, and mother of King Edward VI.
If John Field is an ancestor of Jason Field, it makes King Charles III a very distant cousin.
