Jaron Michael Martin (born November 5, 1994) is a Mexican-American basketball player who currently plays for the Panteras de Aguascalientes of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional de México. At 1.78 meters tall, he plays as a point guard.

Sports career[edit]

Martin played for four seasons at the University of California, Irvine, with which he would compete in the NCAA with the UC Irvine Anteaters from 2014 to 2017.

After not being drafted in 2017, at the age of 22 he debuted as a professional in the Panteras de Aguascalientes of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional de México with whom he played 38 games in which he averaged 13.82 points per game. His great performances earned him the distinction of 'Rookie of the Year' in the 2017-2018 season of the top circuit.

In 2018, he also played 23 games in the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico with the Frayles de Guasave, in which he averaged 13.26 points per game.

In the 2018-19 season, he would play 39 games in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional de México with the Santos de San Luis, in which he averaged 16.15 points per game.

In the same season he also played 9 games with the Gigantes de Jalisco in the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico, with which he averaged 9.89 points per game.

In the 2019-20 season, he would play 22 games in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional de México with the Dorados de Chihuahua, in which he averaged 6.55 points per game.

In the same season he also played 13 games in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional de México with the Huracanes de Tampico, with which he averaged 11.85 points per game.

The 2020-21 season begins in the ranks of Fuerza Regia, champion team of the National Professional Basketball League of Mexico (LNBP), where he averages 8.60 points, 2.15 assists and more than 50% accuracy from the perimeter.[1]

On January 14, 2021, he signed for Real Murcia Baloncesto of the LEB Oro League until the end of the season.[2]

On July 26, 2021, he signed for Alliance Sport Alsace of the Campeonato de Francia de Baloncesto Pro B.[3]

In April 2022, he signed for Rapla KK to play in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.

On August 5, 2022, he signs for KK Borac Banja Luka of the Liga de baloncesto de Bosnia y Herzegovina.[4]

On July 8, 2023, he returns to Panteras de Aguascalientes, the team in which he made his professional debut in 2017.
