The Oricon Group holds real sales data for books within Japan, and JAN publishes information such as the "Japan Weekly Manga Sales Ranking" and the "Japan Weekly Light Novel Sales Ranking" every Friday, in line with Japan's release schedule. Additionally, it has been releasing annual manga sales data since 2019, providing insights into the state of the manga market in Japan.[2]
