Jamiluddin Ahsan, popularly known as Jamil D Ahsan, is a brave freedom fighter of Bangladesh's war of independence. The Bangladesh government awarded him the title of Bir Pratik for his bravery in the war of independence.
Early life and education
[edit]Jamiluddin Ahsan was born in Chittagong. His father's name is Muhammad Jasimuddin and his mother's name is Hussan Ara Jasmin. His wife's name is Beethi Jamil. They have two sons. He was a student of Dhaka University in 1971.
Career
[edit]Jamiluddin Ahsan actively participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement. When the liberation war started, he went to Melaghar in Tripura state of India and joined the war. He joined the first Bangladesh War Course at the end of June. He retired as Major General from Bangladesh Army in 2006. He served as director general of Special Security Force from 1991 to 1996. He also served as an ambassador
