James W Sinks (Age 60, Born July 1964) is the Floyd County Assessor as well as finishing up his career with the Jefferson County Public Schools (Kentucky) as a Science and Computer Teacher. An Army Brat he grew up in Tokyo, Japan, Fort Ord, California, West Point, New York and Berlin, Germany. He did graduate locally, at Seneca High School and earned a degree from Bellarmine in Science, a Masters of Teaching from Spalding and a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology from the University of Louisville. Along the way, James is also an Army Veteran and was proud to serve. When not working, James loves world travel, riding motorcycles and Wine Vacations in Sonoma/Napa and Woodinville Washington
Sinks's taste in music is pretty vast; from Country, to Rock but is partial to Standards and The American Songbook. James says there was always music laying where he was growing up. His Father had a nice stereo where he heard everything from Japanese Pop, Russian Folk songs and a lot Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warrick. To add to the mix, James's Grandmother taught piano, so there was often classical music played at her house.
